Meet The Staff – oral surgeons of charlotte
Dr. Colleen Peleaux
I have always had a strong passion for helping others. I graduated from the Dental Staff Institute of Charlotte in 2016 and will be completing my Bachelors in Business Administration and Management soon. I started working with Dr. Peleaux as a surgical assistant and have now transitioned to the front desk. I enjoy being the first point of contact for our patients. It’s important to me that our patients receive excellent service from the moment they walk in the door.
Outside of the office you’ll find me spending time with family and friends, enjoying time by the water, cooking, and exploring new cities!
I started working in dentistry in 2010 when I joined the United States Air Force. I had the pleasure of being stationed in the United Kingdom where I worked with two fantastic oral surgeons. When I left the military I became a certified dental assistant and decided to make the Charlotte area my home. I was fortunate enough to be chosen to join Dr. Peleaux and his team at Oral Surgeons of Charlotte. I love working with patients and helping them feel comfortable. Everyone here strives to ensure our patients come first and that makes coming to work all the more enjoyable.
In my off time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I also love trying new foods, playing video games, watching Netflix shows, and swimming. I’m excited to explore North Carolina’s diverse environments, from the mountains, to the beach and the city.
After many years in the customer service and healthcare fields, I graduated from The Dental Staff Institute in 2016 and began my venture into the wonderful world of dentistry. I joined Dr. Peleaux and his outstanding team as an oral surgery assistant in 2017. It’s truly a privilege to bring our patients top-of-the-line care and put them at ease during their time here.
In my spare time I enjoy baking and travelling. Most weekends you will find me at church and spending time with my family and friends.
Working with Dr. Peleaux over the years in various roles has been very rewarding. I’ve enjoyed my time as an Anesthesiology Assistant as well as working in the front office in my current role as a Patient Care Coordinator. Seeing the positive effect our work has on our patients is the greatest part of this job. It’s what makes me strive everyday to make sure we do everything we can to put smiles back on our patients faces.
When not not at the office, I stay busy filling up my passport, biking around Charlotte, and doing my best Iron Chef impression in the kitchen. I also love camping and doing anything outside, but am also perfectly happy spending time with my family catching a movie or playing board games.
